Recently, the Charter led a distinguished group of delegates to Jeddah from May 19-22, 2024. This visit marks a pivotal step in strengthening international collaborations and introducing innovative health solutions.
Warm Welcome by General Dr. Mohammed Aljuhani

The delegation was warmly welcomed by General Dr. Mohammed Aljuhani, a prominent advocate for the wellness and health of Arab countries. His commitment to seeing the Arab world at the forefront of health and wellness was evident throughout the visit.
Visiting the International Medical Center (IMC)

During the trip, the delegation visited the International Medical Center (IMC) Hospital, hosted by Dr. Ashraf A. Amir and Eng’r. Mohammed S. Al-Zahrani. IMC is renowned for its unique model of healthcare, embracing a holistic approach to healing body, mind, and spirit. The hospital adheres to international medical standards and divine ethics, with a “Healing by Design” principle that incorporates natural light and gardens to create a healthy environment while respecting patient privacy and dignity. The delegation was highly impressed by IMC’s commitment to holistic care and patient well-being.

Signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)
A key highlight of the visit was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Thailand Charter of Health and Batterjee Medical College (BMC). The MOU establishes a cooperative framework for collaboration in various areas:
- Enhance Medical Research: Foster collaborative medical research initiatives.
- Facilitate Staff and Student Exchanges: Promote the exchange of staff and students.
- Promote Health and Wellness in Tourism: Collaborate on integrating health and wellness into the tourism industry.
- Strengthen International Collaboration: Develop international collaborations in medical knowledge and practices.
- Embrace Traditional Medicines: Explore and promote traditional medicines from Thailand and Saudi Arabia.

This collaboration aligns with the Saudi Vision 2030, aiming to make Saudi Arabia a wellness hub and aligning with Thailand’s mission in health and wellness tourism. The MOU was introduced by General Dr. Mohammed Aljuhani and signed by Dr. Kampon Sriwatanakul and Prof. Mohammed T. Tayeb.
Medical Workshop by Thailand Charter of Health
The delegation also hosted a medical workshop featuring presentations by distinguished experts, attended by around 20 medical doctors from Saudi Arabia, as well as business partners from Qatar, Egypt, Bahrain, and Jeddah. The presentations included:
