TCH Signs MOU with Hokkaido Partners to Promote Wellness, Sustainability, and Agricultural Innovation

Bangkok, Thailand – December 15, 2024 – The Thailand Charter of Health (TCH), under the leadership of Chairman Dr. Kampon Sriwatanakul, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) today with key partners from Hokkaido, Japan, to advance wellness tourism, sustainable development, and agricultural innovation.

Signatories of the MOU:

  • Thailand Charter of Health (TCH): Represented by Dr. Kampon Sriwatanakul, TCH advocates for holistic health approaches and alternative therapies to improve health outcomes and sustainable living through international collaboration.
  • Mr. Shinichi Mukai: Civil Engineering Department Manager at Hagiwara Construction Industry Co., Ltd., Mr. Mukai is a vital connection to Hokkaido’s farms, businesses, and local communities, promoting agricultural innovation and regional development.
  • Pro Material Co., Ltd.: Represented by CEO Mr. Masamichi Saito and Technical Director Mr. Hiroshi Namba, Pro Material is renowned for its dedication to renewable energy, environmental sustainability, and supporting agricultural practices that align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Key Objectives of the MOU

The collaboration outlined in the MOU focuses on:

  1. Promoting Hokkaido as a Global Wellness Destination: Leveraging its pristine natural resources, sustainable agriculture, and innovative wellness programs to attract visitors seeking health and rejuvenation.
  2. Facilitating Knowledge Exchange: Enhancing cooperation between Thailand and Hokkaido in the fields of wellness, agriculture, and sustainable development.
  3. Supporting Health and Wellness Programs: Developing initiatives such as alternative therapies, regenerative medicine, and environmentally sustainable projects.
  4. Showcasing Agricultural Excellence: Highlighting Hokkaido’s premium agricultural products, including A2 milk, cheese, yogurt, plant meat, and fresh fruits, which align with wellness values.
  5. Encouraging Regional Collaboration: Initiating partnerships between Hokkaido and Thailand’s Khao Yai region, which share similar natural beauty and sustainable development practices.
