Notably, Dr. Pongrama Ramasoota serves as a Collaborative Professor at Osaka University and Associate Professor in the Department of Social and Environmental Medicine at Mahidol University. With extensive qualifications, including a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Kasetsart University, a Master of Public Health from Mahidol University, and advanced degrees in Microbiology from the Swedish University of Agricultural Science, Dr. Pongrama leads a team of researchers at the Center of Excellence for Antibody Research (CEAR) and teaches at the Bangkok School of Tropical Medicine.

Dr. Pongrama specializes in the characterization and production of therapeutic human monoclonal antibodies against dengue virus. He led the development of a neutralizing human monoclonal antibody with 96-100% efficacy against all dengue virus serotypes. His research also includes DNA vaccine development for dengue and canine parvovirus, and improved diagnostic tests for dengue, tuberculosis, and foot-and-mouth disease virus.
